After extensive research, we found the perfect location to plant our vineyard: Willow Creek in the western part of Paso Robles. This region benefits from a temperate climate shaped by the Pacific Ocean, with cool evenings and warm days ideal for viticulture. The region is also known for its diverse soils, including limestone, calcareous clay, and gravel, which provide excellent drainage and contribute to the depth and minerality of the wines. This unique terroir, combined with the varied topography, gives the wines a distinct complexity. While our vineyard is still maturing, we’re fortunate to source grapes from our neighbors, G2 and G2N, ensuring our first vintage is exceptional.

One unique feature specifically caught our attention and solidified this was the place for us. At the base of the upper block of the vineyard, a band of exposed limestone forms mesmerizing geometric patterns, and from it oak trees emerge. The sight was proof to us that from this limestone, amazing things could grow.
